Functionality and stringent lines form the basis for our timeless classics, which will last their owners for years and transcend fashion trends. Each bag facilitates and completes the everyday life of the modern man, whether at the weekend, in the gym or at work.

FOR THE LOVE OF THE MATERIAL

Our Buckle & Seam leather comes from cattle herds in the north of Pakistan, where it is carefully selected and processed in its most natural form, the so-called full grain. Our leather is used with all its layers and, with an average thickness of 1.6 - 2 mm, is twice as thick and significantly more robust than the material used for conventional leather bags. We finish our leather with a crazy-horse finish to create a matte look and a soft surface. Over time, your bag will develop an individual patina that will impress with its uniqueness.

WITH STANDARDS FOR THE FUTURE

We have created a network of trustworthy suppliers who are visited and inspected at regular intervals. This allows us to maintain close contact and guarantee that the quality of our bags and the standards of working conditions are in line with our values. On site, we work with our partners on new products, check the quality of the materials and ensure that working standards are adhered to. Our local workers have an employment contract with social insurance and work in an environment that meets international safety standards. In addition to their regular wages, they receive two bonus payments a year. As a result, our employees can earn up to 3 times more than usual locally.

Transparency is an integral part of our values. Despite the high level of trust in our production facilities, there are therefore additional control processes that enable us to quickly identify and rectify errors. Our achievements include, for example, the use of 100% recycled polyester thread, the increasing use of recycled or reused materials for our future collection, cooperation with production facilities with their own water treatment plant and the digital restructuring of production planning.

In addition, other factory owners have already become aware of us and are now starting to change their processes.

WHY PAKISTAN?

Pakistan is a country with an incredible cultural heritage, wonderful craftsmanship and extraordinary talent, which is why we are proud of our close cooperation. Northern Pakistan in particular is known for its thick and high quality leather. Before launching Buckle & Seam, we (the founders) spent a year working in Pakistan for an e-commerce company. The relationships we developed with talented artisans from Karachi encouraged us to start the Buckle & Seam adventure.

Pakistan deserves more recognition for its talent.

Most of the leather goods sold in Western Europe are produced in the Indian subcontinent (Pakistan, Bangladesh, India). However, very few companies openly talk about this and carry out the last step of their production in Italy or France to sew a "Made in Europe" label on their products. We are proud of our production in such a wonderful country.
